Retirement Calculators

Welcome to the USGS Retirement Calculators! On this site you will find links to two programs that you can use to estimate your benefits from either your Federal retirement system (CSRS, CSRS-offset, or FERS) or from your contributions to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). Together these tools will enable you to better plan for your retirement by providing you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your future.

These calculators are provided by the U.S. Geological Survey's Personnel Office as a service to all Federal employees.

The two programs currently available are:

The USGS Retirement Calculator
Calculates the basic benefit amount you can expect to receive from CSRS, CSRS-offset, or FERS. Also calculates retirement eligibility and survivor benefits, and provides a host of information on retirement issues.

The USGS TSP Calculator
Calculates the return on your investment from TSP based on your salary, contribution amounts, and estimated rates of returns. Also allows you to simulate how future events (changes in salary, return rates, etc.) will affect your overall balance at retirement.
